The Excellent Care for All Act (2010) supports hospitals to further improve the quality and safety of care they provide for their communities. The Act requires a yearly, updated Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). This Quality Improvement Plan is one of the ways hospitals can document safety indicators, monitor progress and ensure transparency and accountability. Each year at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital our QIP is developed with our
Mission, Vision and Values in mind. Our Vision is to provide the best rural health care. We will help ensure we reach this vision by carefully choosing set indicators related to safety and quality of patient care. The Patient Safety and Quality Committee, the Leadership team and ultimately the Quality Committee of the Board of Governors are accountable for the QIP.
