Karen is currently a sales manager with Rosa Flora Ltd and as been with the company for over 12 years. Prior to this position, Karen was part owner of the family business, Minor Bros, with her father and his brothers. Twenty-five years in her family business, along with her management experience at Rosa Flora, have provided Karen with a solid understanding of business management, accounting, and sales.
Karen brings a wealth of board governance experience with her to the HWMH Board of Directors. She is currently completing her term as Past Chair of the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation and served on the board of that organization for eight years. She also continues to be very active with her church and the school.
One of her strongest contributions to the HWMH board is her connection to, and understanding of the Dunnville community. Karen was born at the HWMH and her mother was a nurse there. She has lived, attended school, and worked in Dunnville all her life. Maintaining the health and vibrancy of this community is very important to her.
Karen and her husband Ted raised two children on a dairy farm just outside of Dunnville. There were many trips to the hospital while her children were growing up and it was a blessing to have the hospital nearby. Through her work with the HWMH board, Karen hopes to give back to the hospital and its community, in some small way ensuring its sustainability for years to come.
