The Haldimand War Memorial Hospital and Edgewater Gardens’ Board of Directors announce that Sharon Moore will be retiring from her role as President and CEO effective June 30, 2026.  Sharon assumed the CEO role in early 2020 and was immediately faced with the extraordinary challenge of managing both the hospital and Edgewater Gardens through the worldwide Covid 19 pandemic. Her passion and unwavering commitment to the hospital, Edgewater Gardens, and our community has been an inspiration to others.

During her tenure, Sharon also guided the hospital and Edgewater through the development of our new strategic plan and she led the organizations to receive the highest accreditation standard.  She has worked tirelessly with various partners to keep excellent health care close to home.

Over the next several months, the Board of Directors will be conducting an extensive search to recruit a new president and CEO. In the meantime, Sharon and the rest of the executive leadership team will continue to lead Haldimand War Memorial Hospital and Edgewater Gardens without disruption.

The Board of Directors would like to express deep appreciation to Sharon for her dedication over the past five years as President and CEO and prior to that, for ten years of service as the hospital’s Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive.
