• Provide 5 Level triage care to approximately 24, 000 patients per year
• All patients are assessed and treated according to 5 level CTAS (Canadian triage assessment)
• Critically ill patients or severe trauma cases are stabilized and transferred to appropriate centers, usually in Hamilton

Due to constant and rapidly changing demands we are unable to predict your wait time. Wait times are constantly changing and are influenced by various factors, including the volume and severity of patients at any given time. Patients are prioritized based on the urgency of their illness or injury, not the time they arrived at the emergency department. We ask for your patience and understanding while in the Emergency Department. We will always do our best to see you in a timely manner.
